Development Update: Moving Forward with PCVR

Welcome Adventurers,

We’ve got an important development update to share with you regarding the future of “Into The Light”.

After much internal discussion and hands-on prototyping, we’ve made the decision to focus exclusively on PCVR for the time being. This means that “Into The Light” will be developed with higher-end PC virtual reality setups in mind—requiring a minimum of an NVIDIA 4070 GPU or equivalent hardware to ensure the experience runs smoothly and looks stunning.

Why The Shift?

We originally planned to support standalone VR devices like the Quest 3. However, as development progressed it became increasingly clear that the graphical limitations of standalone headsets would require compromises we’re simply not willing to make.

We’re building “Into The Light” with a deep respect for visual storytelling and immersive environments. From dramatic lighting and intricate dungeons to detailed character models and spell effects, we want you to feel like you’ve truly stepped into a living, breathing fantasy world. Unfortunately, scaling that vision down to fit within the technical constraints of standalone hardware would mean stripping away much of the atmosphere, fidelity and impact we believe this game deserves.

What This Means For You

PCVR is now our sole development focus. This allows us to streamline development and dedicate more time to making the game as polished and visually rich as possible.

If you own a Meta Quest 2 or 3, you’ll still be able to play via PC Link or AirLink, as long as your PC meets the performance requirements. We'll be providing system recommendations and settings options closer to the demo release so you can prepare accordingly.

Looking Ahead

This was not a decision we made lightly but we believe it’s the right one. As a small indie team, our resources are limited and we’d rather create one unforgettable version of the game than stretch ourselves thin delivering a compromised experience across multiple platforms.

We’re grateful for your support and understanding and we can’t wait to share more soon!

Stay tuned, and as always thank you for walking “Into The Light” with us.

Best regards,
The “Triple Goat Games” Team
